You may include a second person on most life and/or critical illness policies. Please note that in doing so there will only be one amount of life cover for both persons (unless you select the cover reinstatement option, which is available from some insurance companies at an additional cost). Therefore, on the first claim, the policy will pay out leaving the other person without cover. It does not cost much more for each person to have his or her own separate policy.
